Fra Douro kommer endnu engang et pragteksemplar af en Vintage Port fra Niepoort. Mange anerkender i dag Niepoort for at være den bedste producent af Vintage Port til henlægning i laaang tid. 2003 Niepoort - immense and intense Niepoort once again. Clean, pure dark berry and floral aromas yield to a dark and brooding, full-bodied, round, complex and brambly huckleberry and boysenberry liquid pie. The enormous almost painfully puckering and astringent tannins show up late on the scene, to hold your mouth hostage. Indubitably, this is the most overtly tannic Port of the vintage with an insanely long finish that never quite actually does. Save this for the great grandchildren. Niepoort is at the top of their game and for the third consecutive vintage, is right atop the mix in 2003. 97+ points.
